The annex across the road from Smyrna United Methodist Church is appropriately named the Elsie T. Shipp House, in memory of it's previous owner. Mrs Shipp was a well loved and respected member of Smyrna UMC and the local community. A teacher by trade, Mrs Shipp, was active in women's ministry, as well as other areas of ministry in the church.

The Shipp House is currently being used as our parsonage.
